Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood is a game in the Castlevania series, and the only one that was released on the TurboGrafx-16.
Dracula has been revived by Shaft, and Richter has to save his girlfriend from Dracula.
The game plays very much like the classic games on the NES, except that some new moves have been added, such as a back flip and the item crash. The item crash can be done by pressing the select button, while the back flip can be done by pushing the jump button twice. In addition to new moves, the game also has new features, such as alternative routes, a save feature, and an alternative playable character.
SNES version Edit
There was a semi-remake/sequel released on the SNES. Which was downgraded from the original in many ways, such the alternative routes were dropped from 4 to 2, the save system has been replaced with a password system, and Maria is no longer playable. This version has been criticized by many for the heightened difficulty, but has been complemented for it's music and graphics. It's name is also different in each version, in Japan, it's called "Akumajō Dracula XX" (悪魔城ドラキュラXX), it's name in America is "Castlevania Dracula X" (and uses the same slashing animation with the X from the original Rondo of Blood), and it's called "Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss" in Europe.
Castlevania: the Dracula X Chronicles Edit
Castlevania: the Dracula X Chronicles is a remake of Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night released on the PSP, it features some new features added, and new story elements added to the game.
