Sonic 3D Blast 5 (not to be confused with the NES Version, which was a hack of Somari) is a game by Yong Yong on the Game Boy. It was very infamous for many bugs, music, and vice versa.

Gameplay Edit

The game plays much like the Genesis games, although the controls are poor and sluggish in comparison. There are many many enimies from Sonic 1-3, although they were reduced to moving back and forth, and most of the music is been taken from Sonic 3 and Knuckles. There is a map in between levels, although it doesn't change at all in gameplay, and doesn't really serve much of a Purpose, and is ripped from Sonic 3D Blast.

Hacks Edit

Much like the NES bootleg of the same name, this game had many hacks of this game.

Sonic Adventure 7 Edit

The most infamous hack of Sonic 3D Blast 5, it was released on the Game Boy Colour, It toke levels from Sonic 3D Blast 5, and added colours to them. like Sonic 3D Blast 5, it toke music from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, although this game takes the music from the PC version of Sonic 3 and Knuckles. The first level is level 4 from Sonic 3D Blast 5, which was infamous for a jump that couldn't be done without a glitch.

Sonic Adventure 8 Edit

A hack, that is much like Sonic Adventure 7, except it reuses Sonic 3D Blast 5's intro music. The first level of Sonic Adventure 8 is the second level of Sonic 3D Blast 5. as of now, there are no emulated versions. The 1st level uses the same music as the Sonic 3D Blast 5 version.

Glitches Edit

  • In level 4 of Sonic 3D Blast 5 (first level of Sonic Adventure 7), there is a jump in a part of the level that can't be jumped over unless a cheat is used, or if you get one of the flying badniks to follow you to the jump, then you jump on the badnik that followed you, and the badnik on the other side to make the jump.
  • The game features the Double Hit-Spike bug from Sonic the Hedgehog
  • In the 2nd level (4th level in Sonic Adventure 7) and the 4th level in Sonic 3D Blast 5, it's possible to fall through the moving platforms by standing on them too long.
