 The first well-selling Windows system, and introduced some features that would be in later versions of Windows.

Overview[]

This operating system introduced many new features including, TrueType fonts, workgroup networking, and screensavers, the interface was similar it's predecessors, and like it's predecessors, it also had to run by typing in WIN in MS-DOS.

Program Manager[]

Program Manager in Windows 3.1 serves a similar purpose to Explorer in later versions of Windows, it has a "Main" Window that has a few functions, that had some "mini-windows" in there, with some programs, it also introduced  Solitaire and Minesweeper to Windows.
